Boston Bruins goaltender Manny Fernandez suffered a slight knee strain in practice this morning. Fernandez is off to a slow start this season, posting a 2-2 record and 3.93 GAA. His status is day-to-day.

Bruins have recalled goaltender Jordan Sigalet from Providence of the AHL. Sigalet is 1-0 this season, after going 15-5-2 during the 06/07 season for the Baby Bruins.

The Bruins (6-4) return to the ice on Thursday night when they host the Buffalo Sabres at the TD Banknorth Garden.

B’s Bits

The Bruins have confirmed that forward Patrice Bergeron suffered a Grade 3 Consussion from the hit he absorbed from the Flyers Randy Jones. He is expected to miss atleast a month before returning to practice.

The injury to Patrice Bergeron has opened the door for Brandon Bochenski to get back in the lineup, and into the good books of head coach Claude Julien. He is expected to skate the the 3rd line on Thursday night.
