19 years old with skating skills that could be considered ‘challenged’ at best, you would think Bruins Rookie Milan Lucic will be returned to his Junior team within the next week. Bruins are just giving him a little taste of the NHL. Right?

Wrong.

Lucic has done just about everything right in his first six games as a Boston Bruin. Not only has the kid held his own in a few heavyweight bouts, he’s also chipped in with a goal, an assist, and numerous bone crushing hits.

He started the season on the Bruins bang-and-crash 4th line, before getting a quick promotion to the 3rd line, a chance to play with offensive talent in Phil Kessel and David Krecji - and he hasn’t looked out of place.

Lucic brings a remarkable resume to the NHL from from the Junior hockey level: a Captain, a goal scorer, a top fighter, and even more impressive, a Memorial Cup MVP award last season. The kid has been an on and the off ice leader at every level he’s played.

Don’t look now, but with the likes of Rask, Krejci, Lashoff and Lucic creating a buzz in the system, Bruins nation is awakening.
