The Boston Bruins have returned center David Krejci to the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League.   Through 12 games this season, Krejci has been limited to a total of three assists while seeing much of his time of late on the Bruins 4th line.

Krejci, who scored 31 goals as a Rookie for Providence last season, has looked like an NHL rookie of late, with his play tailing off since starting the season strong.

Taking his place on the roster is Petteri Nokelainen, who was recalled from Providence. Nokelainen has appeared in eight games for Providence, scoring three goals and five assists.  His ability to play a solid two-way game will most likely have him getting some PK minutes and centering the 4th line.

Murray Stuggling

For most of his NHL career, Bruins forward Glen Murray could be expected to score in the neighborhood of 35-40 goals year after year.

But just like Britney Spears at a panties convention, he’s been missing in action lately.

Playing with one of the top play makers in the NHL in Marc Savard, Murray has scored a pathetic one goal through the teams first 13 games, while several missed scoring opportunities.  Murray is going to have to pick up the pace quickly if the Bruins have any playoff hopes this season.

Lucic Sits

Rugged Rookie Milan Lucic, benched for the 3rd period against Ottawa on Saturday night, watched his first game as a pro from the Press Box on Sunday night.   Tough guy Jeremy Reich replaced him in the lineup.
