Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara missed todays game versus the New York Rangers with what is being reported as a slightly separated shoulder.

 He is not expected to be out of the lineup for any longer than 7-10 days.

“He’ll be out a short time,” said coach Claude Julien. “It’s minor. He’s out [today vs Rangers] and possibly in Ottawa, too.”

Defenseman Matt Lashoff was recalled from Providence to take his spot in the lineup.
