Word out of Boston has GM Peter Chiarelli talking to teams about the availability of forwards with “size” on the market.

The Bruins, with a good chunk of their forwards on the ’smallish’ side, are looking to position their team to be better prepared for a long run in the tough and very physical NHL playoffs.

Slumping Forward Peter Schaefer will most likely be involved in any deal that brings in another forward.

Alberts feeling better

After his teammates finished up practice today, big Andrew Alberts went on the ice for 15 minutes of work with assistant Doug Houda.

Alberts said his neck is improving and will be re-evaluated on Wednesday.  Alberts will travel with the Bruins on the current three-game trip.
